Someone once said, “the answer is in front of you”. Depending on your circumstance or situation, what’s in front of you can appear exciting, difficult, or even scary a times. Its easy to move forward when everything is to your liking; but what about the times when you: have tried many times before and nothing happened, have been waiting a long time but still in the same place, or feel like you have given all you had, and no answer appears to be in sight. How do you continue forward? What does forward look like?
First, forward requires some form of movement. Movement can be defined as a change or a development. Change means something is different, development infers something may need to grow or come into existences.
Considering these two meanings of movement, forward may mean you have to take some time to evaluate yourself and the situation. You can start by asking yourself the following:
Is there something about my current approach that I can do differently? (It can be hard to have a fresh perspective about your own circumstances, so you may have to share your situation with a trusted advisor to help you see things from a different angle).
Is there some area I need to grow in or learn that could help me take the next step forward? Better yet, is there something or someone I need to include in this journey that I haven’t considered before? (What you are going after may stretch you so don’t be afraid to reach out for help when needed).
If you consider forward in terms of trying something different or bringing something into existences, you just may find the answer you have been looking for unfolding right in front of you. The key is to remain in motion. Look for some form of movement.
